Do you make use of Open Office, or want to start learning about the latest Operating System that's sweeping the globe? ICDL for Open Office is for you. With this, you'll learn to operate a Linux Desktop, and work in Open Office competently, efficiently, and most of all, confidently! Open Office can also run on a Windows Platform. The Open Source environment is a product similar to Microsoft, only, these packages offer the Source Code for free. You will also note that you can download the packages for free from http://download.openoffice.org/?cid=921692.
This package can be loaded either on a Microsoft or Linux Platform. · Module 1 tests the candidates’ knowledge of IT theory concepts, · Module 2 offers a choice of two alternative tests on managing the computer and files viz. Linux Ubuntu or Windows XP (the candidates operating system will determine the selection), · Modules 3 to 6 tests on Open Office V2, with both Open Source and Microsoft logic as options. · Module 7 tests on Firefox and Thunderbird.
